Hi Ron (and all my old friends) I was so sorry to hear about Finn. I still read all the messages to see how everyone is. Unfortunately I lost my husband late last year after a very difficult illness so I have not really been communicating with anyone. I do wish you all well though and can promise th...

Dear Debbie, I too keep a watch on all of you on the site and rejoice with the good times and now cry with the bad times. I am so sorry you had to let Casey go, you are right it will be an awful long time before you get over this loss. This is why those of us who have lost our Angel dogs still keep ...

Thats interesting Kurt. When Scholtz was having problems with KBr and vomitting we did not know which tablets were still in him and which weren't so when he started heaving I used to hold his head right back and sit behind him and cuddle him until the heaves stopped - the food used to go back down e...

Joe Poor you and poor Tux - having an epileptic dog is like having a disabled child and that is also the cause of many relationship break-ups. I think we have all been involved in huge dramas fighting over what is best to do for the dog. I know Scholtz had nine lives due to the fact that when my hus...

I think its the salt in KBR that increases thirst, and no I don't think it can harm them - only cause loads more trips outside for it to come out the other end!!!!

Hi Last Spring after Scholtz had been hospitalised every six weeks he was totally ataxic due to the high levels of drugs - we tried to reduce PB very gradually but he started having focal seizures. We therefore left him on high dosages of both KBR and PB and eventually he became his old self (this d...

Well done Ron and Finn.

Ron, keep tight hold of that Finn, he's a real treasure.

Yes, Scholtz was also taking 2000mg of KBR at one stage, but we don't have the liquid here we have capsules.

I had correspondence/conversations with the Kennel Club in GB where all breeders are registered. The number of GSD's suffering from epilepsy is frightening. They would not/could not put a note on Scholtz's pedigree notes on their computer saying he was eplieptic. My theory was that then if any of hi...

Those eyes are just so beautiful.

I can understand why people snatch babies.

Since Scholtz has gone I want to cuddle every dog I see in the street!!!!
