Re: flea & tick medicine's

I never purchased my frontline from the vet. The vet that mention the cheaper brand drops causing seizures, was an emergency room vet. It was actually Parkers first seizure and we didn't know what the heck was going on so we took him to the animal er.

Re: flea & tick medicine's

Please be careful with the flea and tick meds. I would stick with the frontline, even though I repeatedly say , I hate using any chemicals. But, I heard from a vets mouth, that the cheaper ones not sold by the vets, do cause seizures. He named a brand but, because this is a public forum that could c...

Re: New Member Unfortunately

Hey Jacobs mom, we noticed that Parkers seizures were worse the longer he went without them also, about a year prior to his death , he went for about 4 month and had continous clustering , we thought we'd have to put him down then. It was just awful.

Re: All dogs in household having seizures

I know this is old but, I am interested in what you said about using stainless steel bowls. I would be interested to know how many of us with epi pets use them? Also, just a note, I agree that it sounds like it could possibly be something in the houshold. Any smokers, heavy cleaning products, mothba...

Re: Smoking Links to Epilepsy?

HI I strongly disagree. I am not a vet. but, let's face it some vets know little about epi. I don't smoke but, I posted in another post about scents, I noticed that when Parker was around strong smells of any kind he seized. I switched everything I could possibly think of to unscented and his seizur...

Re: Potatoes and Seizures

I know that this is an old post. But, I'd like to contribute. During the 7 month period that Parker was seizure free, I feed him sweet potatoes everyday for his treats. I always had the canned in with the syrup, I always drained the syprup out. I also, had fresh baked ones. I did this because I want...

New, just lost my epi dog

Hi all, I am new to this site. I lost my dog Parker last week to seizures. It is my hope to help others and to learn and share information that will hopefully help others. Maybe , as a group, we could share our information and learn for better control of this disease. The longest stretch for my dog ...
