PM's not being sent
Any one else having issues with sending a PM? I've sent two, one today and another on the 19th and they're both sitting in the Outbox. Was able to send a couple previous to that.

Hi Chris,
I've sent you a PM, thought it might be better than posting in the forum.

Re: Life after epilepsy
Hi Chris, I lost Izzie (my Labradoodle) in 2014. She had gotten acute Leukemia which was incredibly fast and there wasn't anything they could do. Then in 2016 I had to let Shiloh go. He'd had a cluster of seizures and they gave him a couple massive doses of PB of which he never recovered. I still ha...

Re: Life after epilepsy
Oh my gosh, it's so good to see you Chris! Lynne had said you had recently posted and had to come check it out. I'm not on here much anymore. Not sure if it's because so many years have passed since losing Shiloh and I feel disconnected or what but do occasionally get to lurk. I've thought about you...

Re: New to seizures - not even sure if it's epilepsy
I'm so sorry for your loss. It's so heartbreaking to lose them but I hope you'll find some comfort in knowing that you did so much more for him in the short time you had him than he probably had up to that point in his life. You let him go because you loved him so much to do what was right for him a...

Re: Hello from Russia
Welcome to the boards! Wasn't familiar with that breed of dog and had to look it up. Oh my, those are beautiful! It's hard enough dealing with a dog that has epilepsy when you have a vet with some knowledge but to not have those resources available to you must be really frustrating and scary. Will t...

Re: introducing Gucci
I'm so sorry that you and Gucci are having to go through this. One of the hardest things about having a dog with seizures is that there isn't a one-size-fits-all. I have two friends that had dogs with seizures that were well controlled with PB. Shiloh on the other hand had been through every med he ...

Oh Spencer, thank you for the kind words and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't wiping a tear (or two) from my eyes. I have always appreciated your sound advice and support. I'm so happy that you have found another dog to love and that will love you. I pray that you will have many happy and healthy yea...

Re: Beau's story
Hi Brian, I'm really sorry that you're having to go through this and understand about getting up in the middle of the night to administer meds. I was able to use the goodrx coupon at WalMart for some of the meds Shiloh was on. It saved me quite a bit of money, especially on his Keppra. You might loo...

Re: Other dog's reaction to a seizing dog.
Congrats on getting the seizures under control!!! Hope you're able to wean him off his meds. I was fortunate that my other two didn't seem to be bothered by Shiloh's seizures. Rylie pretty much ignored him and Izzie would avoid him. I could tell with Izzie that Shiloh's seizures made her nervous but...

Hi Meadows Mom. Lynne is having trouble posting and asked me to post her reply. Hi Mary Lou and welcome to the forums. I'm so sorry that you and Ziggy are dealing with this and know how hard it can be. Here's a link that explains ocular compression. I read somewhere that it shouldn't be used on dogs with heart issues so before trying be sure to talk to your vet. I was able to u...

Re: Tips on how to deal with epileptic dog?
Hi Gina, I'm so sorry you all are having to go through this. It's perfectly normal to be freaked out and spend your hours on pins and needles. I think there comes a day when you'll notice you're not as jumpy and scared of every sound, but this disease is a journey, not a destination. It is possible ...
