Still increasing meds

Seems every year Cooper's meds need to be increased, yep we are up to 18 pills/day. He is such a champ at taking the meds, all he needs is it dipped in pumpkin or the small ones wrapped in canned food. I just sing to him now from the Mary Poppins movie "Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go...

This was a tough week for Cooper, last weekend he had 4 grand mal seizures in 10 hours. Generally if he clusters it's within 1/2 hour of the previous one. After each seizure he's given recovery meds. This time, it was hours between each, until the last one which came only one hour following the thir...

bladder loss during focal Seizure?

Hi, Cooper is prone to grand mal seizures, and as far as I know hasn't had any focal seizures until possibly last night. :( He appeared to be sleeping and all of a sudden he jumped up, ran in a circle then ran to the door. This is the same behavior he has after coming out of a grand mal. After letti...

Paddles, pees, head back, drool, teeth bared etc. Generally, for Cooper anyway, he comes out of the 1st seizure long...

Meet Cooper

Hello! Cooper is a 6 year old Golden Retriever. He was surrendered to our local Golden Retriever Rescue Organization of which I am an active member fostering dogs. Cooper came to us when he was approximately 2 years old with seizures (surrendering family not sure of age, and he had never been to a v...
