Re: Diagnostic Testing Results Question
Hopefully the Bile Acid Test will give you more information. Does she have symptoms of low thyroid? What does your veterinarian have to say about test results? After Bile Acid results come in, that would be a good time to schedule a consultation with your veterinarian and put all this together. Then...

Re: Seizures brought on by an empty stomach
Hello, I'm one of the moderators of this forum but have been out of the country for a month so haven't been active. I don't know if feeding her several times a day helps prevent seizures or not. If you think it works, then I would continue to do so. Also, I would certainly keep your veterinarian inf...

Re: Beau's story
Good morning, I'm one of the moderators of this forum and a retired veterinarian. One of the posters to this blog uses a web cam to watch his dog while he is at work. He is away from home for ten to twelve hours. As to crating, I have always crated my dogs. It is their house and they will go there o...

Hi, it's me again. I don't know if switching will be a problem or not. It shouldn't be as regulations for drug production exist but you never know if your dog's body sees it as the same. Let us know how this works. box40rin

Good morning, I'm so sorry Ziggy had another seizure. I don't have any answers. I can only say to keep hanging in there and see if the distance between seizures increases. Please keep posting. I'm interested. box40rin

Re: Behavior before seizure
Good morning, I'm one of the moderators of this forum and a retired veterinarian. Seems to me you have diagnosed this behavior correctly. I think you are seeing an "aura" that occurs prior to a seizure. Having had a dog with seizures I know how this goes. Generlly it is some aberrant behavior, somet...

Re: Full Moon
Good morning, Wow what a saga. I'm a retired veterinarian and one of the moderators of this blog. You talk about facial changes just prior to a seizure. I think this is an aura. also you mention phases of the moon, which if I remember correctly has been thought to have an effect in humans. I, person...

Good morning, I'm a retired veterinarian and one of the modertors of this forum. My first question is: when does he get his medications? Morning, noon, night or ... Could be the medication is not lasting through the night. You didn't say what he is curreently taking. That's my first thought. Having ...

Good morning,
I'm one of the moderators (new) and saw this post. How is she now? Seems to me there is a lot going on here. How are her feet? Is she having seizures? The steroids could have caused the urine leakage. Please post and let us know what's happening. box40rin

Good morning,
I don't have any experience with gold plates. How does that work? Sounds like your veterinarian is working hard to control the seizures without deleterious side effects from medication. Keep posting please. box40rin

sounds like he is reacting to stress. Probably impossible to take away all sources of stress. If you're not going to be traveling for a time, maybe with the current dosage he will level out. I really don't know nor do I know if the dosage should be changed. Watch him, keep track of stressors, time o...

Good morning, I thought I just answered you so will try again. I'm one of the moderators of this forum and a retired veterinarian. I don't know if the vaccine formulation has been changed. If it has, this is a definite possibility. I would mtry the combination your veterinarian has set out and see. ...
