Sleep in peace my sweet pea
Hello everyone, At 3:30 this morning my girl lost her battle with Epilepsy and cancer. We said goodbye in the emergency room and my heart is broken. She never looked more beautiful. I've grown attached to your dogs and your hearts and I'll check back to read updates from time to time. Sincerely, Rav...

Sorry there wasn't any updates for a while, I think this last surgery was the one, she looks GREAT this time. She's snoring at the front door. Cone on her head and cone around her waist so she cannot scratch her stitches with her back foot. She's also wrapped around the waist with purple vet wrap. T...

Emotional day. Just got back from seeing her. She's in way better shape than she was on Friday. She's down from 3 drains to 2. She is stinky! Phew! Washed her face and her bum while we were there. Dr. said she *may* be able to come home Tuesday...I'm in no rush at this point, want to MAKE SURE there...

Why Raven?
Vivian and Jane will understand where I'm coming from as you ladies have been my support since Raven's first seizure. As you know, I feed 10-15% raw, 40% home cooking and then the rest of their diets is from the 6* all natural kibble review from dogfoodanalysis.com. On March 28th I have all three fu...

George is the only of my dogs that is not a rescue. I waited a long time for him and researched SP breeders for over a year. Visiting 3 of them. I've contacted his breeders. They have no history or current conditions in his lines nor from any of the pups in his litter. They are really worried. They ...

Oh Jane I hope so...I really hope it was just a dream. I watched both the focal and the Chinook seizure video's and I've been on You Tube watching the canine seizure videos' there and I don't see anything the same or similar. I'm going to continue to watch - maybe the human seizure videos'...just in...

You've all heard my story about my Standard Poodle Rescue Raven. Her GM seizures have not returned since that night but I'm still stuggling with it being epilepsy. Last night, my George, a male 3.5 year old Standard Poodle had a mild siezure. We were watching a movie and he was rolled up in a ball s...

Oh Poodlemom. How I feel for you. I had a miniature apricot male poodle for 18 years. His name was Ernie. We had been robbed about a year prior and I was in the basement after the evening shift wrapping Christmas presents when I heard a noise upstairs. I muted the TV. Heard the noise again and when ...

Thumbs up for dental surgeries!
She is a changed dog! Because Raven hasn't seizured since August we cannot tell what works and what doesn't. Clearly she either is a dog that would have only seizured about a handful of times in her life time, OR the KBr works for her. However, since the dental...and I'm not kidding 1) Dandruff has ...
