Re: Introducing Phrynie (Fry-Knee)

As far as triggers go, I do know to avoid salty foods and certain flea and tick medicines. Stress is definitely a factor for Phrynie. She gets very stressed by strangers coming into the house. Noise and hubbub don't seem to bother her, as long as she knows everyone. I agree Trevor's advice is usefu...

Re: Cannabis Oil

I'm so sorry Suzyq. It's a shame to me that an herb that grows from the ground with so many potential uses other than getting "high" is not legal. It's ridiculous and is the pharmaceutical machine and the mentally defunct who try to keep this treatment from being a reality and just makes me crazy. ...

Re: Charming and personal book about epilepsy

Hi Everyone, I am new to the site and happy to hear about all of your successes. Our lab "Barney" is also doing incredibly well. I wish I had found your site earlier. Last month he had a seizure within 3 hours of Interceptor after being seizure free for 3 months. As is ...

Re: Coconut oil is great for skin issues and...Fleas? ticks?

I've been hearing and reading about coconut oil for a while and can say it has a great effect on human skin as well as it's a great flea and tick repellent. However, it may be harmful to the pet itself. Cats are definitely should stay away of it, as for the dogs, well, you may add it in food as an e...

Do try the ice bag on his back - as soon as you can. We never see warning signs - our dog is in a full seizure before we know it. The ice shortens the duration. Can't hurt to try it.
Long-time lurker here as well.
