Well, we certainly wanted Ada, but I can relate to not wanting the disease that goes with her. I wouldn't give her up for anything though. After being abused, you can see the trust and love in her eyes for us and know that it's all new to her. We're so happy we can provide her with that comfort. I'm...

Hi Jinks, (that sounds funny) Chlorazapate is one that can be used in place of valium. I haven't tried it yet, but a member suggested it as her dog wasn't responding well to the valium. Have you tried potassium bromide along with the PB? If your vet has good experience, they would know about this co...

My first thought was that Jack is probably stressed from Merlin's seizures. My rottie boy stresses when Ada has a seizure, but he licks when he stresses. He actually gave himself a lick granuloma a month or so after we got Ada. Another thing I thought I'd mention is, recently our power company sent ...

Wow! Thank you for your information. I will definitely keep the liquid vs. capsule info in mind as Ada is on capsules right now and her dose costs about $1 a day. (2-500 mg caps) She's only been sick a few times, but it's worth noting. I'm very happy to hear how successful Rocky's treatment has been...

Speaking of BHA & BHT
Now that I'm making myself more aware of these preservatives, I've been taking a look at OUR food. MY GOODNESS! I am sickened to see how much of the food I buy has this stuff in it. Here I am trying to avoid my dogs from consuming it... Just to name a few things I found: Stove Top Stuffing Cap'N Cru...

Our vet said we COULD have an MRI done (and he isn't able to do them, so it's not the money in his case) and he said it wouldn't help her. What it would do is either tell you just what is causing them, or as in most cases, you'd find nothing out and be out a bunch of money, still fighting the battle...
