Re: Has anyone used Gabapentene to control seizures?
I have used gabapentin both as a stand alone drug and also in combination with zonisamide. He is currently on 900 mg three times a day. (He weighs 130 ish). I have had great success with it as a combination drug with the zonisamide. It did not control seizures as a stand alone drug. Very few side ef...

Re: Drug Interaction Question
Thanks for your help. We went to vet yesterday and got a shot of Depomedrol. Hope it helps. He is on glucosomaine/chondroitin but not MSM or Vit. C. I do have him on fish oil. I will see how this works and then maybe consider the adequan as a longer term solution.

5 months and counting!!
It will be 5 months tomorrow since Maynard's last seizure. This is the longest he has gone without a seizure since being diagnosed in August of 06. He remains on the Zonisamide 300 mg bid and Gabapentin 900 mg tid. He is happy, healthy, and a little fat, but I am so grateful for the Zonisamide. It i...

I am new to the forum but joined because like you, I was considering putting my 130 # Greater Swiss Mountain Dog to sleep because of seizures every other day for a period of a month. He is refractory to both Pb and KBr as well as Gabapentin and had worse seizures on Keppra. I finally got my vet to t...
