I like to hope that the people that are no longer active members here have gotten this disease under control, rather than thinking they lost their loved ones to it. This forum has helped me learn so much, and the people that post here are wonderful. I posted an Update on Logan in the original thread...

UPDATE

Logan had been doing great, and the seizures were under control, so i thought. He had been seizure free for almost 6 months, untill New Years Eve. On NYE he had one small seizure, and i was happily surprised when that was it, or so i thought. This past Sunday, he had aonther seizure, (always while s...

Such a fighter...

Logan's situation worsened and he began clustering. They were short, and much less violent than i had remembered the originals to be. His post-ictal wasnt alot of fun either. It was really odd. He would have a seizure, calm down, and as soon as he would close his eyes and fall asleep, the cycle woul...

Can you think of anything environmental that could be triggering his seizures? . To answer your question, Nothing has really changed for him or us, and this time it occured while he was Sleeping, whereas he was playing with our other dog last time and possibly bumped his head. It could also be that...

I took Logan off the PB almost 2 months ago. He had been seizure free since the original set in January. He was on the PB from Jan-Feb, and then ween/removed from it. He wasnt the same dog on the meds, and i hated giving it to him. Im going out of town this weekend, and now im worried crazy about it.

Spoke Too Soon...

Today @ 1:30pm while sleeping Logan had a seizure. It didnt last nearly as long as the past ones, and he recovered quite quick once it was over. I gave him some valium, and hes relaxing at the moment. He had been seizure free for over 2 months since the original, and had been off the PB completely. ...

What you have to ask the vet is "what caused the seizures?" thank you so much for the words of encouragement. Yes this was the 1st seizure, and it was scary beyond words. I asked the vet "what caused this" after they ran blood tests and had observed him for quite some time. They said since the bloo...

I'm a Mess !!! any and all help welcomed...New to Seizures

Sunday morning began like any other in my house. that was until my 8yr old boston terrier "logan" began having a very violent seizure (Grand Mal). I attempted to hold him and soothe him as best i could. this was the most terrifying experience, and i never thought it would end. when it finally did, (...
