You've gotta be on the ball with alternative medicines. They can do a lot of good but what I know about holistic health is you have to adddress the root cause of the symptoms - The drugs are for the prevalent symptoms Taurine could probably help you do that. I've never heard of acupuncture for dogs....

About Hydrocephalus
I knew a chick who had hydrocephalus and she went on about how drilling a hole into the back of her spinal cord around her neck was.
I don't know how useful this is to you but she seemed to be pleased with it.

Its Really Bad
It's the saddest thing in the world when your poor dog has epilepsy. Luckily it can't be too bad for you because your dog has a cycle of 3 months between fits.
