Hi Vicki Thanks for sharing Shadows story with us. I don't think 17 months is too young for epilepsy, I was advised that anything up to the age of 5 would 'probably' be epilepsy. I was devestated when my 'perfect' dog started having seizures, and wondered how I would cope. I found this website and k...

Hi Vicki
I think it can take a few weeks for dogs to get used to PB - My dog took a couple of weeks to adjust to it - I had hyperactiveness and continual whining for at least a week, with just a bit of 'wobblyness'. I do hope that Shadow imprives soon.
Good luck

Hi Debby
It's great Dylan has made it 5 months seizure free! It must be an anxious time reducing treatment, I have a long way to go yet!
Hope you get to pick up the kbr.

Hi Debbie

I've just been reading through the posts after the weekend - have no computer at home! So sorry to hear that Casey had more seziures. I'm thinking of you and Casey, and hope that you get Casey under control again soon.

Good luck and hugs to Casey.

Hi Debbie
Sounds like you're not having a good time! I really hope things get better for you. Things are stressful enough with owning an epi dog, let alone coping with other problems.
Have a good weekend.

Oh Debbie

What a shame - Do you think anything in particular could have set Casey off? Hope that he has no more seizures and that you get an even longer run.

Good luck and best wishes.

Hi DPT I would strongly urge you to seek veterinary advice re putting your dog back on pheno - this was not just one seizure, your dog is clustering. The brain learns to have seizures (kindling). Pheno can control seizures as long as you don't leave it too long otherwise the seizures can become more...
