It's like a crashing defeat when they have a seizure having gone so long without.

My dog went just over 2 years and then they returned, I thought we were on the road to reducing the Pb.

I would ensure if you are going to do this, that it is done as you say, very gradually and with a knowledgeable vet. My dog had an MRI and a spinal tap done after recurring seizures. This really is quite interesting, and I too wonder if these drugs are suppressing inflamed areas of the brain which would be active during seizures.

Poppy's results came back last week. Her Pb is in therapeutic range, and her liver is coping well. So we are no closer to knowing why her seizures started up again.
