Yes, i take it back, i've actually used antibiotic drops in my dogs' ears before, and the infections always came back in short order. I meant antibiotic pills are something i've never heard of for ears. After many many years of dealing with ear problems, i finally found a cleaner that really works. ...

Vivian, i get the Keppra at Walgreens, using their "W" discount card. The W card costs $20/year but it's a good deal if you buy lots of drugs because it knocks about 20% off each prescription. I haven't checked those discount pharms but i will definitely do that, thanks. Jane, he's on all 3 drugs (P...

Did i miss something? Last i heard, MK was in the hospital. Sounds like it turned out ok? Sue, my dog has been on Keppra for a week now because PB and KBr are not working. So far the Keppra isn't working either...he's had 3 seizures since starting it.....but I'm going to give it a month or two. I ca...

Yes, i'm sorry too, sending good vibrations to all the troubled dogs out there. I'm seeing quite a few people talk about the need to hospitalize their dogs to stop the seizures. I'm curious about the recovery period for these dogs after hospitalization. As I've said, Jackson was completely out of it...

So many posts here about dogs being well-controlled for so long and then suddenly having massive seizures....it's scary. It's obvious to me that the people on this site own the "problem" dogs. My primary vet told me that in 15 years of practice, my dog is the only one whose seizures haven't been wel...

Thanks Debby and Jane. I shouldn't say that these people were all wackos, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and say I'm fairly sure they believed in what they were doing....it just wasn't at all helpful in my case. Jane, I'm afraid you are correct about the kindling. I waited much to...

Heartguard Plus & Seizures
I used to give my dogs Heartguard Plus every month without any apparent problems. Jackson started seizuring in Oct '03 but his seizures did not occur near the times he received Heartguard so i kept giving it to him. In Jan '05 something changed. On Jan 31st I gave him Heartguard Plus. 3 hours later ...

My Dog's Brain Could Energize a Small City
Oh yeah, i forgot to mention my most important point: Perhaps if we all wired our dogs' heads together we could provide enough cheap and renewable electricity to solve the world's energy crisis. I might try installing an outlet into the side of his head to see if i can at least run a few appliances ...

My Dog's Brain Could Energize a Small City
Hello fellow owners of brainstorming dogs. I've been reading this site for awhile and thought I'd jump in to share the story of my dog, Jackson the standard poodle. There are all sorts of interesting topics i've seen discussed here that i'd like to comment on. I'll try not to ramble on endlessly but...
