Hi Sue! Thank you for your information. That is one more thing I will keep in mind. I love having this site to come back to when I need support or to do a search on something I had seen at one time. It's hard to remember everything, try as I might. And to here of other options that we didn't know ab...

My dog Ada will drink until I think she's becoming part CAMEL! But then, she's on Phenobarb, Kbr (potassium bromide) and a steroid (dexamethasone). Do some reading on this site, if you haven't already. There are many options available if the pheno isn't doing the trick. I've only been fighting this ...

Well, we had an 11 day run without seizures which is a record since Oct. 26th. Had one on Saturday and then another on Monday. Valium helps but I think I may ask about the chlorazapate as MK's mom suggested. It doesn't seem to stop them completely, just makes them WAY less aggresive. Maybe the alter...

It is hard to see them after the valium, as Ada couldn't even walk the last time for hours afterward. She needed to be let out to relieve herself and it was so saddening for me to practically carry her out (at 75 pounds) only to have to bring her back in because she couldn't hold herself up long eno...

I just had to come back and look at everyone's babies again. All I can say is "Awww!". The Irish Setters brought me back to when my grandmother and grandfather had one named Brandy. I remember how soft her coat was even though I was little at the time. Congratulations on getting Caiden. What a beaut...

Beth, I think it must've taken a lot to get the courage to post this video and you should be commended for that. It's not easy making these kinds of decisions by ourselves and I understand why you're asking our opinions. I suppose if I were in this position, I would probably decide that her quality ...

Thanks Puggles. You sure are right about the ups and downs and getting through it time and again. My nights are pretty sleepless, but I'm getting through it and sleep a little extra on weekends when I can. We're continuing the fight as I want to give her meds time to do their thing. My good wishes t...
