That's OK, I can understand why the vet would want to load, but I think you are Ok. Does the vet want you to up the dose or continue as is?

Welcome Jeff, OK, what's the dogs weight? I think you are in good hands so far with your vet/neuro. Seems like they know what's going on and I would agree (unprofessionally speaking) with thier approach. Ask about a product called Zentonil for helping repair/ protect liver function and/or Milk thist...

Tux, that's good that you are taking control but be a bit of a sceptic. 75% of a vets clients with epilepsy is a bit of a stretch since about 5-10% of all dogs have or have had epilepsy either in Primary or secondary form. I would call the neurologists office directly and ask to speak to him/her or ...

If the bottle is only 300 and not the 480 (?) that is also sounding expensive. The solution ratio should be either 250mg/l or 100mg/l. I would take that vet up on ...

Please check these rates and links out!

this is a list of prices for testing. I don't know how old this is but it seems pretty accurate http://www.canine-epilepsy-guardian-angels.com/DrDoddsInstructions.htm Article on Thyroid along with reasons why a TSH, in-house test is not accurate. http://www.canine-epilepsy-guardian-angels.com/Interv...

The two test are separate, but these seem high. You could call a couple of other vets and just ask their rate. The med rate is high for sure. I KNOW that Jane will be jumping in on this one, but an in-house thyroid test is worthless and shouldn't be utilized. You can use the university of Michigan i...
