Sad, sad news

Post by Dougie » Sat Jul 17, 2010 4:38 pm

It is with extreme sadness that I have to report that my epileptic Collie, Snorri, has died, aged 12. We think he had a stroke. To make things worse, our other dog, Kali, his older brother, died shortly after, aged 15.

We now have a newbie, an unrelated blue merle boy named Thorgeir, from another Orkney farm. Hopefully, he will live a normal, healthy life.

Incidentally, Snorri's latter years were all fit-free. Sleep well, little boy, no more "fizzies" ever again...................
If it's not a Border Collie, it's just another dog!

I'm very sorry for your losses, especially two so close together.

I remember you popping in on rare occasion, aren't you the person whose dog seized and suddenly stopped? It's been a long time.

So sorry to hear of your losses! And, as been pointed out, so close together, too. It certainly must have been a real heart breaker to say the least.

It is comforting to know, though, that Snorri's later years were seizure free. May I ask what medication Snorri was on?

They're now resting alongside one another and at peace.

Welcome Thorgeir! (Interesting name by the way).
