Was it a success?

I had to have my beloved girl euthanised on 1 April 2015, four years to the day since she had her first GM. But she had four years of happy life in between those horrid GMs until she told me enough. And my wonderful vet came here at 1am to give her peace.

Was that a success or did the success being giving her peace.

I still do not know, but I loved her so much and could see in her eyes that she wanted peace.

She is there somewhere and sends her love to you all.

First, I'm so sorry for your loss and know that sometimes even with the passage of time, losing them still hurts. I think success depends on how you define it. It's easy to get bogged down in the bad times but I know when I was dealing with Shiloh I thought of every day without a seizure a success. I considered it a success that I was able to provide the best care for him during this awful disease and we didn't let it define us. It's a success because even though it was one of the most difficult times in my life I learned alot and hopefully am using the experience to help and encourage others. I'm thankful that I had an option for him that allowed him to pass with dignity when his body gave out and it was a decision made because of the love we had for 10 years. I'd like to think that your girl and Shiloh are playing together having a grand ole time.
