Glucose Insulin Pair

Post by Beausdaddy » Thu Apr 19, 2018 9:16 am

Good Morning,

I took Beau in to have a Glucose Insulin pair done, as his seizures were changing. They were coming more frequently and I was seeing little differences in his activity, as well as new types of seizures all together. The biggest thing I noticed was that he was having his seizures when he was sleeping. So we were thinking maybe he is hypoglycemic. Our test came back and his insulin levels are very high and his glucose is very low, which is an indicator that he has a tumor on his pancreas.

I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this or if they had any advice on what to look for. I have not talked in length to my vet to put together a care plan. Any advice or questions I should ask the vet would be appreciated.
