Salt is a mineral needed for the body's nerves and fluid level. The human body regulates how much sodium it contains. Too much sodium has been linked to kidney stones, high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease. In take of less sodium results in hyponatremia and symptoms of dizziness, confusion, muscle twitches.
