You need to cut calories to lose weight. But going too low delivers a double whammy to your metabolism. When you eat less than you need for basic biological function,your body throws the brakes on your metabolism. It also begins to break down precious, calorie-burning muscle tissue for energy. When you have a drink, you burn less fat, and more slowly than usual, because the alcohol is used as fuel instead.

Yes i agree with you. Addition to that you can boost your metabolism by exercise which really helps to increase metabolism. Eating fish which is rich in omega-3s helps in balancing blood sugar and reduce inflammation helping to regulate metabolism.Drinking iced green tea helps to increase the energy expenditure by 90 calories per day.Eat enough calories to match your metabolism rate. Eat lot of fruits. This will surely help to increase your metabolism all day long.

I too agree with you.Its not good for our body to cut essentails nutrients and calories body want for healthy life.
in order to balance your metabolism it is good to take proper exercise and meditation along with a slight diet.
as we know protein requires more energy to digest.Drink some green tea daily which store anti oxidant in us.and help to get rid of all toxic.
