What are the vets doing for him today? it's tough seeing them like this, but if they get him sorted out he'll get back to his normal self again.

I'm sorry Barney is still not out of the woods. Poor little fellow, it's so hard to see them like that. I do hope you will have some encouraging news and that Barney will start feeling better real soon. Sending more hugs and many positive thoughts and prayers.

Oh poor Barney, I'm sorry about this. I know what you mean about keeping him at the vet's office. I've never been able to leave my dogs there for more than the bare minimum....it's too depressing.

But if they can get his seizures to stop, then I'm thinking the "lost" look should clear up in time. After Jackson's status he was lost (to put it mildly) for a full week but eventually returned to his normal self. So don't give up hope yet.

Deborah,

I know how hard this is for you, but right now I think Barney is in the right place where he can be helped. Is someone at the clinic day and night or is he alone at night? I think if he were alone he might be better at home with you during the night and back at the vet while someone is there to watch him during the day.

I went and had a look at Barney's picture on the picture thread and it broke my heart, too, looking into those soulful eyes of his. I know just how you feel, I think we all do. Here's hoping he'll take a turn for the better and be home by the weekend.

Way to go Barney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WAHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

I've been checking the board periodically awaiting this good news!!!!

As an aside, I started MK on taurine last Tuesday. the neurologist said it may or may not help the seizures, but it won't hurt him to give him the taurine. I'm hoping it will help, stay tuned.

Horray!! I like hearing good news!!!
Im suprised they didn't want you to take him home where he's more comfortable. Kiya would freak having to stay at the vets.
