Hi Everyone Just wanted to update you all on our boy shadow.
Thursday night at 12.30 shadow he had 4 fits one after the other then at 3.30 the same thing another 4 fits and then at 7.30 2 fits and a rushed trip to the animal hospital with him. They have finally decieded to up his epiphen from 120mg twice daily to 180mg twice daily. Thankfully shadow didnt have any more seizures but to have 10 in one night freaked us out quiet a bit as that seem rather a lot. Was using rectual diazipam 10mg we used 5 of these and gave him 1000mg bromide and 60mg epiphen.
It was one of the worst nights we have had with him. Does anyone elses dogs have cluster fits if so what medication are they on to control this.
Many thanks for your replies Vicki Shadow and Troika
Terible night

My boy clusters and we use either an additional dose of Pb or clorazapate. My neurologist told me that valium (I believe that is what you call epiphen) is good for dogs that seize every few minutes, but with the valium only staying in the system for an hour or so, MK needed something that remained in the system longer because his seizures could come 8 hours apart.
