My pup takes Taurine daily and I feel it has helped her. I was surfing the net and found this statement:
"A daily supplementation of 100-300 milligrams of betaine HC1; 50-500 milligrams of dimethylglycine (DMG); 200-1,000 milligrams of taurine ; and 10-200 milligrams of proanthocyanidin is said to be helpful for the epileptic dogs."
I have never read these others supplements before.
Betaine HC1
Dimethylglycine
Proanthocyanidin
Anybody using any of these? results? Thoughts? _________________ English Cocker female 9 y/o "Sundae"

All those acronyms and long names for supplements does my head in! LOL Anyhoo, there's a epilepsy list on Yahoo and they use a cocktail of supplements, one of which is the DMG. I thought about trying it once, but not knowing anything about the supplements I decided not to go that route.
I used to use Taurine, too, and my boy didn't cluster for 10 months while using it, then it seemed to lose its effectiveness.
