Morgan is gone. We gave her back to God Wednesday morning. The one med that finally stopped her seizures, Lyrica, fried her kidneys. She was only a baby, I just can't believe she is gone.

I am truly saddened to hear this news, Susan Marie. And, such a young baby, too. To think this medication appeared promising in the fact that it did control her seizing. Sadly, it seems as though most of these prescribed medications for Epilepsy have those awful side effects.

I did look up Lyrica, and it appears that it's only recently that they started to prescribe it to dogs and cats. But, as with Pheno and others, the pros and cons seem to be the same.

Rest assured, you did everything possible for Morgan,...you must know that. It is a constant struggle day in and day out, but you did your utmost to make her life the most comfortable.

Susan,

I'm very saddened to hear of this. Morgan had to deal with a lot and you went above and beyond to help her, it's so sad that the meds that were supposed to help her did the opposite. I had the same thing wtih MK, it wasn't seizures that took his life, it was his medication that was so hard on his body. It's so unfair, isn't it?

Nearly all the pups that were here when I started to post on CEN are now gone.

Sadly, that's not very encouraging news, Vivian. I know facts are facts, but I surely hope they're making headway into this disease. We can only hope!

Oh Susan Marie, I am so sorry to hear this......I don't come back too often anymore, as I am so afraid that I will see friends that are gone. You were always there for me and Jezzy.....I had so hoped that you might be the one to make it. My tears are with you. Believe, me I know how you feel. And now Morgan and Jezzy have finally met after all, over the Rainbow Bridge. I am so sad, this horrid disease and then the devastating drugs that try to treat it blindly. It is one evil over another.

Words can never express the feelings. Not a day goes by that I don't still think of Jezzy and all of my friends here and the support that was given me and Jezzy. Our one year is coming up and Jezzy will be in the Candlelight ceremony on the 26th on the Epi Guardian Angels.
