Goodbye to Ben

Ben went into status tonight and unfortunately we had to put him to sleep. He was going to be 1 in a few weeks. I just cant believe that he is not here anymore. I already miss him so much.

This awful, awful illness took the best dog I have ever had from me- i hate it! Ben was the most perfect dog and did not deserve this at all.

Thank you all for a place I could visit to catch my breath. Please give your dogs a big cuddle and tell them you love them for me, they are all so special. You are all so special too, for the love these dogs need can only come from special people.

I am so sorry about Ben. I hope you find the strength and courage to move on. Remember the good times. Do not allow this disease to make it feel like you did something wrong. You were the best mother for Ben.

I am so saddened to hear this news about Ben. News like this gets to me everytime as I get very emotional while reading it. Such a young fellow, too. My heart goes out to you, Katarina as I'm sure this is a difficult time for you. Cherish those fun times you had with Ben! God bless him!

I am so sorry for your boy!! Being and Irish Setter person myself it stabs my heart a little harder.
