We are currently in the middle of a genome scan looking for the chromosomal location or locations of the Vizsla epilepsy gene or genes. Our analysis indicates that we have some chance, but are not certain, to determine this. If this round does not find any chromosomal locations it will be crucial to obtain more Vizsla families with epilepsy . Again we are at a point where we might have success in narrowing down the location of the gene or genes, but are not certain to have success
