Hello everyone. I am curious if anyone has seen something similar to this. My 1.5 year old pug has episodes every so often (once a week to once a month). During the episodes she is wobbly and loses her balance. The episodes can last between 4 hours and up to a day. During an episode she is usually very sleepy. Sometimes, at the start of one she will have intense bursts of energy.
A few times during an episode she has thrown up and then fallen over to the side like passed out. But she gets right back up. Has anyone seen this or know what it is?
Has anyone seen seizures that look like this? The doctors don’t think they are seizures because they last so long. But we just aren’t sure.
We are probably going to try anti seizure meds for her.
We had an MRI done and we found that she has slightly enlarged fluid pockets and some brain deterioration. The findings aren't completely conclusive that this is the cause for her episodes because that can be a common finding in lots of small dogs.
Please, any insight would be helpful.
