Now that you've looked at the site, is there anything that you would like to see that is not here? Would you like more information on any topic? How can we make this site even more useful for you? We want to hear from you!

How about an on line library where we can access all those terrific studies referenced in the CEN Discussion Forum?

Breed clubs are listed under "Links" but what about a list of individuals that we can contact from the breeds?

I really like the suggestion made in the "Suggestions for CEN Forum" for more videos. Great idea!

Good ideas, Nancy!
I'm not sure if we can do an on-line library, but at a minimum, we could do a bibliography page. If the article is available on-line, we could link to it. The consortium members discussed doing something along these lines previously, so thanks for the reminder!

I believe they are working on the technical difficulties for the videos, but I will check on that progress too.

Before the CEN site came about I did have a list of contacts within breeds - I will update that and add it to the site. I know some people do want to speak with someone within their own breed. Some people do not want to discuss this with others in their breed, and that is their choice, but for those who do we can provide a way to contact the individuals from the various clubs who have been acting as coordinators within their breed.

Thanks for the input! We'll work on it!

Seems like there has not been too much new in the way of suggestions for a while now. I would like to find help with locating Vets that have experience with our dog problems, Where Neurologists are found or sharp vets with a background in Neurology. When you go on the web it isn't really too helpful in this area. I find the more we know the more we expect of our Vet. Mine is moving and I don't want to settle for someone else in the office without my Vets knowledge. I loved her she was young and sharp, knew what to do and really got my dog under control and has handled all her health needs beautifully. I want another one like her. Can we work on such a network state to state?

How about a STARTER list that has the basic do's and don't's

It would be usefull to many of us if we could print out a page of basic information about how to deal with our epiliptic dogs. Even if/when we know these items, it would be usefull for those caring for our "children" when we're at work etc.
It should have the basic information such as:
Don't leave your Epiliptic animal where it could fall down a flight of stairs, into a pond, up against a heater, or other such situations when you're not in constant attendance.

Your animal could drown in the wrong water container if unconscious.

Keep something to put in your animals' mouth if they chew themselves when having a siezure.

If the dog is in an area where it could strike solid items when having a siezure, try and drag them to a better site.

If your animal deficates vomits or urinates when having siezures move it to a better place if easily done when having one.

I invite others to contribute their wisdom for this list so it will be a usefull tool for us.

Was just in today to look for new subjects and realised that someone has sent what looks like a porn-website-add. (Look for sexmaniac on the 15th of June). Perhaps this forum needs someway to report this kind of things so it can be cleared out quickly.
